get holes in them. It's just a big leafy green plant - a very common house plant...darn! wish I knew the name of it !! Anyways.... would anyone have an idea as to what I may ( or may not be ) doing wrong?

Check the enviorment, the plant always needs food balance. If there is too little food and water it will turn yellow, and if you put too much water in it, it will turn yellow...It can also be the soil (poor quality) or it can be too acid for the plant...I'm recommending this next site: http://members.tripod.com/castillejabridge/plantbio.html

On of two things probably....too much water or not fertilizing...just try the good old Schultz you buy and put 7 drops to a quart of water for indoor plants...could also be maybe not enough light.....maybe you are talking about a pothos (ivy), sheffelera (big plant), or snygonium...mine are literally falling all over the kitchen out of two 6" pots....the leaves look like a big veined arrowhead....anyway, good luck

Spray it with a pump bottle and sprites it with dishwasher detergent and water which will kill parasites. You are probably either watering it too much or it isn't getting the proper lighting. It could be too bright or not enough light depending on the plant.

You may be over watering it, let the soil get very dry to the touch then water it

it is more then likely a difan backia and take a birth controll pill and the pill will actually fix that problem it is lack of a certain nutrient... tried tested and works good

have you checked it for aphids or any kind of plant eating insects?? It sounds like something is eating away at it though...

yes overwatering is most likely the cause are the leaves wilted? also make sure its getting enough light.
