I don't just want to throw the thing away after it's too small for the holder. I thought about crushing it and mixing it with water and putting it into a spray bottle to use as a cleaning solution... just wondering if anyone has come up with a better idea??

I threw mine out after about the 10th load. They just didn't clean the laundry. My son took a black light to some of the clothes and it was DISGUSTING how much filth and particulates where left on the clothes. I guess you could also crush the balls up and put them in a spray bottle and use for day to day clean up jobs or a pre-treater on clothes.
