Any and all citrus works extremely well. There is also this product called Plink that claims to remove fat deposits and other icky buildup in the disposal. I use it about once every two months. But anytime you squeeze a lemon or eat an orange throw the refuse in the disposal and let it go to town!

I pour a little Clorox in and put the stopper on overnight. Also learned that the dishwasher drain to the disposal is the source of odor when I don't use the dishwasher often. I stick a tube in the drain (reaching down into the sink outlet) and pour a bit of Clorox in it.

I just throw an occasional lemon peel or orange rind down there. Also, I use a product called fridge It underneath my sink and near my trash to keep things fresh. It's a little carbon odor absorber that really works fantastic and better than others. It is a little cube that isn't expensive and I use it everywhere and it lasts a long time,
I buy them at Walmart. Also know that Linens n things has it.
