The shower makes a whining noise when turned on. I removed the valve and worked it a bit. The problem is somewhat lessened.

How can I clean this? CLR? Where can I get a replacement?

Please help. I have tried using pledge other odor removing products. It just smells really bad and we are ex-smokers and we don't want any reminders. It was a great bargain and I don't want to give it up.

I have two or three (depending on perpective) male Australian housemates. As Aussies, they spend their life smoking, drinking and barbecuing in the back garden.

They have now developed a habit of going out for the day and leaving the back door open. Not even unlocked, but actually open. We are all professionals (as professional as it's possible for an Australian to be, anyway) so on any given weekday the house is open for ten hours or more.

We live in a mid-terrace house so their argument is that no-one can get into the backyard anyway. But I reckon that's rubbish; someone can get into an end-terrace house and therefore can make their way along the row from there.

The reason why I am awake posting questions at 3:00am is because I am too scared to go to sleep; the door was left open all day today.

We have nothing worth taking, but I worry about personal safety.

So my question is, what do you all think? Am I stupid to worry? Or should I go kick some Australian a55???

I have matching threaded PVC and galvanized, all new. Should I use white 'joint compound with teflon" which you would use to connect galvanized to galvanized, or should I used purple primer for PVC + PVC cement, or something else, or both?

I like to cook and bake however the gas oven in my RV burns everything on the bottom.

I cooked a pound cake yesterday at 350° and the cake was cooked perfectly but the bottom was burnt.

It's been awhile since I last baked and now I remember why I stopped. Even frozen biscuits are burned on the bottom. I don’t think I have ever cooked anything over 400°. This is my first experience with gas ovens so I'm wondering if it's just a characteristic of cooking with gas?

Someone told me an insulated cookie sheet underneath whatever type of pan I am using might help.

Any suggestions on how I can stop this burning on the bottom problem?
