Our coal effect gas fire will, from time to time, blow smoke and fumes into the room. We have a cowl on the chimney and it hasn't stopped the problem.

For the past two weeks, when flushing the toilet, the tank emits a sound like a Bull Moose in heat. I looked inside and saw miscellaneous "innards". A perpendicular white tube on the left side of the tank has a green cap on the top of it. Water appears to be leaking from the cap. When I push down hard on the green cap, the water ceases to leak and the decibels decrease. However, I would rather not have to take the lid off of the tank and press down on the green cap, every time the toilet is flushed.

Just wondered if anyone has had same problem...our Creda Autodry...model No.37750 is still "working" as in the drum still goes around & air is coming through but it's only cold air. Obviously I can't dry the clothes on that & wondered if anyone's had same problem & may know what to do....apart from the obvious & calling out someone to fix it. It's a couple of years old now & has always been a good runner until last wk when out of the blue it started blowing cold air only...we've had it apart & cleared all the dust from it....would appreciate any suggestions please...thanks a bunch.

What about countertops?

I want a bamboo forest (about 50 feet in diameter). I want something that is going to grow fast and that is relatively cheap. Any suggestions? Should I purchase seeds? What about the running kind of bamboo? How difficult is that to keep under control (this will be at the bottome of my property - just land, not pavement or anything) Any sites with recommendations? I live in North Georgia - zone 7 I think - hard to tell these days since it's always warm now it seems. Thanks!!!!

I absolutely love this thing! It even picks up dog hair off of tile floors! I have no problem emptying the little tray that the dirt and hair gets put into, but there is dog hair all around the tray and in the bristles. Can I put it in the sink and just rinse it? Has anyone had any experience with this?

I got a teakettle for X-mas that's stainless steel, and whenever I use it, it has a horrible taste, My husband said there may be a filter lining on the inside and to boil water in it several times, then try it out, I did all day yesterday and I tried to use it this morning and it still smells and taste weird.. I tried washing it and soaking it for an hour in hot water, and still does it? How do I get rid of this.. And of COURSE He threw the box out so I can't return it...
