Just wondered if anyone has had same problem...our Creda Autodry...model No.37750 is still "working" as in the drum still goes around & air is coming through but it's only cold air. Obviously I can't dry the clothes on that & wondered if anyone's had same problem & may know what to do....apart from the obvious & calling out someone to fix it. It's a couple of years old now & has always been a good runner until last wk when out of the blue it started blowing cold air only...we've had it apart & cleared all the dust from it....would appreciate any suggestions please...thanks a bunch.

There are two possibilities, its the thermostat or its the element. Either can be replaced by someone with a little electrical knowledge.

Are you good when it comes to cleaning the filter? That is often the reason that the heating system fails.

Do a google search for the make model and "parts" this should give you a list of suppliers.

it will be 1) the heating element has gone open circuit or 2) one of the thermostat's has failed, yes it is right that some tumble dryers have a reset on the thermostat but you have to ask yourself why the state popped in the begining was it just one of those things or is there a major problem be careful as a lot of house fires are caused by poorly serviced tumble dryers...

Some times machines have an internal reset switch, Look in the owners manual and then check the trouble shooting section. Maybe this will help.

Most tumble dryers have a cut off button somewhere on the back, try pushing it, (you may need to take the back off) if that doesn't work then sorry it may need ditching.
