A seam on my counter top is separating and beginning to rise. Is there something I can do to repair it without replacing the formica counter top?

My rose bushes have grown out of control, they are too heavy for their small stem and are currently flowering. Branches have grown in all different directions, but I would like to make my next prune right, so that they grow neatly? How?

My skirt was stained with black spots after I washed and hanged it out to dry. There were those hard to remove black marks after it was soaked in the rain. How to remove them effectively?

I dont know the name of it, but here is a description: It is one of those indoor fig type

I dont know if I am watering it adequately or offer watering it, but many of the leaves are turning yellow simoltaneously. I know that may be normal for some leaves to fall off but the whole tree is dying - now the leaves are getting kind of sparse when it was normally pretty lush.

Any suggestions?

Thank you in advance.

My messy roommate dumped coffee grinds into my sink and now the water won't drain. "Grinding" the grinds didn't work, the motor just started overheating. Damn you, Sally.

I have about 20 black teeshirts that need to be washed and every time I have washed black teeshirts before, they fade HORRIBLY when I use Tide, and I have nothing else to wash them with, so would using no Tide be better than using Tide? Is using no detergent of any kind better than using ones designed to clean but slow fading.

I currently wash them on cold, delicate, extra rinse. I dry in fluff air with low heat delicate to stop shrinking.

Is there something I am doing wrong? Does using ritz dye color the image imprinted on the teeshirt?

THANKS IN ADVANCE!

I am in the process of redecorating my family room. I've painted my walls a shade of taupe/brown/green (actually called "camouflage)." My baseboards and door are dark brown but my crown molding is white (the same color as the ceiling). Is it okay for the baseboards and crown molding to be different? I can't quite decide if I like it or not.

I want to replace my toilet and don't know if I'll get in trouble with the co-op. Toilets and sinks are my responsibility, but I'd like to avoid asking them if I need to be licensed for basic plumbing.

I am having a major problem with my electrical usage. Around the time an electrician upgraded by electrical system, my usage (and most importantly the bill), increased by 2.5-3x's. This is after relatively 8 years of steady usage in the same house. Nothing really changed in the house to warrant this. Even in Sept/Oct, with no a/c/electric heaters, the bill was high. My usage towers over any of my neighbors with similar size houses. PSEG changed the meter and checked it...it is OK. They said it is not their problem. An electrician "checked out the inside", and this too was OK. ANY IDEAS??? I dont know where to turn.

I want to place a bookshelf against a wall where the floor is uneven, forcing the piece to tip forward. I will secure it to the wall with a brace at the top, but this will leave a small gap under the base of the shelf at the front. I think I need to wedge something under the base to fill the gap, but I'm not sure what would work. It would have to be 'wedge' shaped, about a half an inch at its thickest.

Does anyone of a product or a trick that will make this easier? I have a one year old son who is hanging off of everything, so it needs to be as secure as possible.

Please help.
