on the planet Peckerhead....in the Garden of Freebush...there in lives the lovely dickweed.

I gotta' hand it to you with this question, being as old as the hills I thought you meant 'DUCKWEED'
That stuff that grows on my garden pond and the koi and goldfish love to eat.
I guess I'm not the know it all my daughter says I am. I yahoo'ed search and found so many references to dickweed I just quit. Good luck in to quest for knowledge on dickweed..........I'll stick with duckweed.

First place I ever heard it was from Chet in Weird Science... "Go make yourself some, dickweed." But it was probably around before that.

On the original Mystery Science Theater 3000 program, that started on KTCA-TV23 in the Twin Cities of Minnesota, back in the late 1980s. Writer, comedian, and pupeteer Joel Hodgson made his robot counterparts, Tom Servo and Crow, call the "Mads" that all the time. It was also used in many of the B-grade movies they riffed.

I know that more than likely Beavis and Butthead popularized it. That might not be wherer it came from.
