My maytag dryer dries for 10 minutes then restarts... what could be the problem?

if your dryer is on a 220volt circuit there should be 2 cartridge fuses. in alot of cases one will burn out causing your problem to happen try checking this out i believe you will find 1 is gone.your machine will work with one fuse but wont dry properly

Many times, a dryer when turned off manually, then just shut and left to turn down on it's own, without letting the heat on will wear out the filaments. It's hard on them and they'll burn out partially. If you take the front off and Look at the elements you'll see that somethings burning them, it's sometimes proof that it's being hard on them. Turn the dryer back on after you take your clothes out, if there's a minute or two left, let it wind down on it's own, don't manually turn it off.
It sounds like your thermostat or switch is having problems.
