I am not gay, but now Grandpa thinks I am due to my choice of soaps, he uses Lava for handwashing, bathing, and washing his hair. He says no real man would use a soap like mine. Please help me convince him otherwise.

I have the above range (1992). Right now, gas is being supplied to the top burners, the ultra ray broiler, and it also comes on when we lock the oven door and turn on the self cleaning mechanism. But....when we turn the oven itself on, the pilot light turns on but the gas "pipe" does not ignite, therefore, the oven does not heat up so we can bake. Any ideas to what part may be broken or how to fix. Thanks!

We have an awkward spot in our basement heading down the stairs. We barely have enough spaace to bring bigger items down. We would like to put a 3/4 drywall and glue it to the wall. Is this possible? Can I just use liquid nails?

three or more years ago in august of 2003 i purchased a gas heater from a plumbing supply ; i had trouble with it from the beginning... now this years trying to buy parts and a service manual i have been informed the heater is obselete and that the unit is over 20 years. old.. but the description the dealer gave me was for a different model than he sole ,me... i cant buy parts.. and it is dangerous to use..i CALLED him and after a 2 hour conversation.. he said i had it three years.. and in so many words he said he was unwilling to do anything... also i found some one had been in the heater and did some welding... which is not susposed to be done on a gas appliance.. i found all this out when i e mailed the williams heater company and gave then the model number i was susposed to have... when i got the manual 45 pages. nothing matched.. then i found a tag inside the heater. with a different model than he indicated on the papers he gave me after three years is there any thing i can do

This is replacement baseboard for a bathroom that had tile baseboard that was removed. The problem is that there is a gap between the baseboard and the wall. The wall is mostly even. Is there a way to get the baseboard to adhere more closely to the wall?

My septic tank has alot of tree roots in it (the tree is about 15 feet away from the access hole. They have grown into the inlet pipe from the house and plugged it up. We got the pipe clear for now, but I'm afraid they will grow back.

Is there a way to destroy them?

I am in the process of changing the remote control receiver on my ceiling fan but the wire colors don't match. The receiver has six wires (black, white, yellow, pink, gray, and black/gray). The fan also has six wires but different colors (yellow, red, pink, gray, white, and black/white). The two wires coming from the ceiling are black and white. What wires go where?

The cord on my year-old basic Oreck XL Vacuum (bought it in a special on-sale deal), has split on one end and one of the prongs has come off in the socket. So, it looks like I need to replace the entire cord.

What is the cheapest way to get it fixed (my husband MIGHT be able to do it) and about how much should it run?
