I can eaither put it in a doorway that's roughly 30'', or a closet door (preferably) that's roughly 50''

''=in.

I just need to know what I should get at a hardware store or something, and how I should install it and stuff.

Thanks people of the world!

You can purchase door mount pull-up bars for about the same it would cost you to make them. they work great.

I did the same thing. I went to the hardware store and purchased 3/4" black gas pipe. I bought one tee and three mounting posts and had them cut and thread the pipe at the lengths I wanted. I then went home and installed the piece using 3" wood screws through the mounting posts.

Go to a good hardware store and find an old guy working in the plumbing department. More than likely he'll be a retired plumber and tell him about your project. He'll know exactly what to get you!

The pipe idea is very good, however, I prefer wood, so a 3/4 inch dowel in the your desired length has worked for me before. You might want an inch or more, depending on your weight, of course. Sand and stain to your liking. I see that you want yours indoors, so the mounting instructions for the pipe project would be very similar. Mine was outside and hung from old swing set chains, the materials I had available at the time. Have fun!

in case you have have been given a decrease putting tree, you're able to attempt that. in any different case, get your self to a playground and use the jungle wellbeing center/monkey bars. in the event that they're basically flexed hangs, attempt your stairs. in case you have stairs that curve in a "U" shape, the place you flow up a nil.5 flight up stairs, there's a small touchdown, then you certainly flow up yet another 0.5 flight, there could be some variety of overhang the place your hallway hangs over the backside of the decrease 0.5 flight. attempt that out. isn't as sturdy for pull ups, i've got chanced on, yet could be advantageous for flexed hangs.

you'll need a piece of pipe threaded to your length, maybe a half inch shorter that your closet and two "closet flanges" I might use galvanized pipe, 1" would probably be better for a span of 50". A Home Depot, Lowes, or plumbing supply should be able to thread you pipe for you.
