I am in the process of changing the remote control receiver on my ceiling fan but the wire colors don't match. The receiver has six wires (black, white, yellow, pink, gray, and black/gray). The fan also has six wires but different colors (yellow, red, pink, gray, white, and black/white). The two wires coming from the ceiling are black and white. What wires go where?

red and black are the same both hot so turn off the power the others are the sameand you should have 3 wires coming from the ceiling white black and one that has no jacket on it(common)
