Every now and then when a buy a new shirt and wash it, it comes out with a colored stain on the shirt. Sometimes it's pink, orange, or even red, and I dont even own a pink or orange shirt! I don't know where these colors even come from, and it usually happens on shirts I havent washed before. I always wash in cold water, and use "Clorox 2 for colors" non chlorine bleach and "Woolite for darks". Can anybody please help me?

How long does a memory foam mattress last? I think the regular spring bed usually last 10 years before the springs are worn out.

I have white deposits that form, I think it is mostly from my hot water line, they are soft, opaque white crystals that eventually block the faucet screens, they are easily washed out when I take out the screen, and they have a soft soapy feel to them. Anyone have an idea what these are and how to prevent them.

I replaced a light in the bathroom and at first it was fine, then when I turned on the switch,it flickered and now I have no power to 3 rooms in my house.I believe it is on the same fuse but the fuses were already replaced and still no power.I already had the electric company come out and they said everything was fine from there end.Help!Everything in this house is old and original. It was built in 1950 and it is a 60 amp service.

I'm thinking of something like a large cactus or a bonsai tree, suitably decorated, instead of the bog standard pine. Do you think this would be more cool, suave and generally impressive than a normal tree?

Ok, this isn't a dirty question as you might have at first thought. I live in a block of flats with a security entry. The postman always gets in to the building via the service button. Can anyone press it and the door will open?? What's the point of having it if so? Also, does it only work between certain hours of the day? I can't sleep for worry........ (only jokin of course) Please advise, thanks!

I just pulled the electric blanket out of the drawer for the winter, and it smells stale and has dog fur on it. The cord does detach from the blanket. Is it true you can't put an electric blanket in the washer? Or how do you clean it?

I have a GE XL44 Gas range. The ignition spark for one of the burners does not work (spark). How do you fix this problem? Is it just the replacement of an electrical part or do I have to mess around with the gas line? Any type of advise is greatly appreciated.

I don't have a digital TV or Terrestrial aerial but want to switch from Sky to Freeview. I have had the dish and the same coax cable for a while. I thought I could get away with switching the dish for the aerial, not all the fiddling about with a new cable?
