I've tried dish soap, regular soap and lots of scrubbing.
The bathroom walls are dark blue.

I scrubbed with soap and water.
I don't want to ruin the paint though.

Try the Magic Eraser by Mr. Clean. Those things are awesome. It even takes off permanent marker and red crayon. I keep a stock of them!

Actually I have used toothpaste to remove crayon marks off the wall (it breaks up the wax).. did you just try scrubbing with plain water? Mr Clean Magic Eraser's are good too.

I have had that many times and no problem with FANTASTIC. which I use on many things.. BUT.. I also have used a sponge and regular dish soap and that worked EASILY also

you don't. toothpaste has a whitener agent in it, you will have to paint it

you can also use rubbing alcohol on spots

it's sometimes cheaper and more efficient in my opinion
