There seems to be some clay like tiles under that? My house was builtin 1956 did they use to put someything down on the concrete before they put the Linoleum ? If so can I just tile over that? I know not to tile on Linoleum but what if there is a layer of something else that's hard?

I'm not doing it myself, I already have a contractor, but I want to know if he really knows what he is doing. I dont need any answers that are bs. I need good, solid answers please.

does anyone know what a wavy looking lounge chair that was big in the 70's and the 80's is called... they were furry and the inside was made of foam ....you use them inside probably in the living room or den. i have seen one or two a couple of years ago and am looking for one now but don't know the proper name to call them so it has been real tough finding one when i don't know what to ask for. also, if you know what i am talking about, can you tell me where they sell them and maybe a website or phone number....

I have the cheapest, thinnest, slickest sheetrock ever, and the landlord's painters use this primer/paint (off white) which yellows, attracts dirt, and shows every hasty painting neglect/mistake. I want to redo the job myself, with the Behr semi-gloss, but it wont stay on the wall! I tried Zinnser Primer next, but that won't stick either! Roller or Brush doesn't seem to matter. Do I really HAVE to sand the walls 1st? Is there an easier way that I just don't know about? It's like the wall is actually rejecting the paint...it slides, drips, and forms little globs and balls...and if I try to fix it with another coat, both layers go back on the roller or brush. Help!

My husband and I just recently purchased a home and have been having some trouble with our furnace. It is a Heil condensing gas furnace and was installed in 1995. The problem is that sometimes the ignitor is not working. When you push on what looks like the electrical input for the ignitor it will kick on though. Sometimes it won't ignite on it's own, but other times it will. One time we had to physically push on the igniter for two days in a row to get it to light the burner, then after that it worked on its own for a whole month. Now it is acting up again. I am wondering if there could possibly be a short in one of the wires there, because it always ignites if we push on the little plastic connection with our finger. It's just confusing that it doesn't do it all the time. What we are pushing on that makes it work is a little plastic connector with three wires coming out of the top. You have to push it to the left. Any ideas?

My hubby is teaching me how to weld and he is starting me off on wire welding first. I love it!
I welded a bunch of stuff together, practicing on my tacking and the bead. He took what I welded and hung it from the porch.
He welded me a hanging lamp made out of round saw blades, It really looks good and everybody likes it but won't sit underneath it. hahaha
I'm making a piggy bank. It is just 4 sides and a top with a slit for $$ and a bottom. The only way to get it open is to torch it.
But I was thinkin' on putting some flower petals on it...ect. something like that.
C'mon now...... I know that there are a bunch of you out there that has allot of ideas to do. ~wink~
