A lot--if you have switched to a sewer system or new septic tank, just have the old one filled in with dirt and leave it in place.

Actually most old septic tanks aren't removed or filled in. If your tank has failed to the extent that it needs to be replaced, then the installation company will simply dig a new hole for the new tank, some distance away, and re-route the drainage line to the new tank.

Why remove it.If your replacing it.just put it in a different spot.
