Im doing a science fair project and it includes moss( u kno the green stuff that grows on tree bark), i was planning on conducting it out side but my teacher said to do it inside so i can have more control over temperature and rain and stuff..
but is it ok to have moss in the house, isnt it poisoness or something?

It's perfectly safe, but you might want to make a terrarium (even if it's a coathanger frame with plastic wrap over it) because they do like a humid environment. And somewhat shaded.

It depends on where you get the moss. I live in Florida and I would never take moss inside due to red bugs or chiggers (blood sucking insects that burrow under the skin). You can buy moss at a craft store that has been "sterilized".

Off tree bark is lichens, not moss. Big diff. Neither one is mold. MOLD is what you don't want in your house. Moss is not a problem, nor are lichens.
