There is a Lysol product that comes in a small brown bottle with a yellow label. Red writing of "Lysol Disinfectant". That stuff is the only thing I have ever used that got the mildew smell and mildew itself out of clothing.

On the final rinse of the clothes add 1/2 cup of vinegar .When the clothes are dry there will be no smell of mildew or vinegar.

Wash them in Clorox 2 for colored clothes and make sure to use a softner sheet or downey to make them smell fresher!
