At first I just said "Yeah", but then I muttered something like, what if you think it's a mirage but it isn't?

We were having a backyard dinner party. One of the caterers heard me say that, and whispered these words in my face: "If you think it's a mirage and it isn't, then it really isn't a mirage, and the words 'Every mirage is real' don't apply."

I was dumbstruck. Of course! Every mirage IS real! I came away a far different person, more avid and earnest...

But lately I've thought more on this, and have decided to ask people at Yahoo! Answers, cause this is the place where I turn to for guidance.

Also, I was wondering, does this apply to chimeras?

In the fall, most of the trees that I see changing color always start from the top of the tree. Why is that?

I see green seed heads ripenening, and I'm thirsting for the harvest time so I can propagate more. But now I wonder, will seeds do it for me or do I have to actually take from the root next spring (or even now, before frost)?

Thanks for your help.

I have an indoor garden where these tiny little gnats seem to spring forth like wild-flowers after a long rainy winter from the soil of my plants. I have a few yellow fly strips up, however, after about a week and a few hundred flies later, they stop having any space left for more flies!

I have tried nematodes and ladybugs, however those are very expensive require lots of work. My indoor garden, because of where I live, is going to be prone to these bugs no matter what I do.

I have a small outdoor garden where spiders have taken residence and seem to keep my bug problem at bay, and I have had MUCH experience with spiders and how beneficial they can be as predators. I always leave 2-3 in or around my house or garage that are out of reach to keep my bug problems at bay. (we all have flies, face it...)

Is there a "safe" species of spider that I can introduce into my very small indoor garden that will keep the bug problem at bay? Can a "safe" sepcies be kept under control?

How do I know if there are too many leaves in my yard? Will too many damage my grass?

A vacuum will only move it, not remove it.

I just killed a cockroach in my apartment. I am in a nice neighborhood in Charlotte NC, and my neighbors had said they killed one in their apartment too. Where do they come from, and how are they getting in? Could there be possibly more than one? They've only seen one, and I just saw one. Geez!!!!!!!!!!!

Just lifted the lid and there it was. How does a snake get in a toilet anyway? This was in downstairs bathroom that only has a toilet and a sink. I didn't get a good look at it to see if it is poisonous or not, it appeared to have rings on it like a king snake or coral snake. I just put the lid back down and put a heavy paint can on it. Now what do I do? I'm in Florida by the way.

I made a memorial cross for a friend of mine who was killed in an ATV accident, and put a picture of him on it. I covered the picture on both sides with plastic and sealed it all the way around with hot glue. Somehow, the photo got wet and it was ruined. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can put a picture on his cross that will survive the weather? The cross is made of wood that has been spray painted.

I have a friend of mine and he rented some stuff from Colortyme for about six years but when he couldn't make the payments they wouldn't work with him and he just let it go and of course he didn't get the money back. He payed for a computer, which I said was dumb, for about 4000 dollars total but they say he still owes 500 dollars and he has a bedroom set, livingroom, and kitchen table. Friends tell him to just keep the stuff and tell him not to open the door because they can't really do anything and they know this from personal experience, trust me but he went searching online and he has heard stories of others getting in trouble for this kind of thing but he doesn't know obviously if these are real. He needs advice. Can they really truely do anything to him?
