Just lifted the lid and there it was. How does a snake get in a toilet anyway? This was in downstairs bathroom that only has a toilet and a sink. I didn't get a good look at it to see if it is poisonous or not, it appeared to have rings on it like a king snake or coral snake. I just put the lid back down and put a heavy paint can on it. Now what do I do? I'm in Florida by the way.

how it got there: crawled up the sewer - its only the part of the toilet you see, and a tiny bit more, that has water in it all the time. Solution? call animal control; they'll come get it for ya, and in most cities in Fl, it doesn't cost ya anything. (I'm a former Floridian of 32 years).

There are lavatory augers rather designed for that objective, ie they have won't scratch the pocelin yet they often purely pass somewhat previous the flange(the place the lavatory meets the floor). a ordinary hand snake additionally will artwork purely be advantageous to take it consumer-friendly so the bowl does not get scratched. If that doesn't artwork, you are able to could pull the lavatory and replace the wax ring. As a plumber there have been cases as quickly as we had to do away with a rest room and use a extensive ability auger. At that factor you need to run the auger down a techniques sufficient to attain the sparkling-out interior the basement(a screw cap interior the drain line) in case you have one and might discover it, then repeat the approach from that factor down. That area is greater advantageous left to a plumber on the grounds that they have the kit and it could get actual messy. As an factor no longer i could have suspected the vent first additionally. desire this helps and sturdy luck. Plumbing is not any relaxing.

Get some tongs and grab it. You can even grab it by the tail and it cant bite you as long as you hold it a few feet away from your body. Or flush the toilet.
