Hi
There is two ways to remove wax from carpet. 1/ Use the edge of a butter knife to carefully scrape off or lift up as much solid wax as you can .Use a dry clean white terrycloth place it over the wax spot then heat it with a iron on low setting because most homes have polyester carpet, and if the iron gets too hot, it'll melt the carpet. Keep checking the spot every ten seconds or so, moving the terrycloth so that a clean spot is on the carpet.
2/ Which is the better way. Use the edge of a butter knife to carefully scrape off or lift up as much solid wax as you can Heat up a full kettle of water and pour it slowly on the carpet at the same time with a wet vac vacuum up the water. Keep on doing this until the wax is removed.

Scraping off the excess with a butter knife and using brown paper bags with no ink advertising on them. Lay paper bag over wax use your iron on low setting, let iron set on wax for 15 seconds, lift off iron and repeat process placing new area of paper bag each interval. Depending on the size of the area this could take several hours and a lot of paper bags. Once the area is free of wax you still might have a dye spot on carpet from the candle. If the candle dye is red seems like most are, try DiDiSeven or Stainerator these products will remove the dye.

Get some paper towels or an old tshirt and use a warm iron to melt the wax into the towels or t-shirt. Keep moving to a clean spot on the t-shirt or paper towels and iron until no more wax comes up. If there is still a stain try some rubbing alcohol on it. Good Luck!

i did this once. i thought there was no way it would work, but it did!
put down some thick paper towels over the wax and run over the towels with an iron. the wax will melt and be absorbed by the towels. i think i got the idea from heloise.
there may be a slight stain if the wax was darkly colored. i did it with red wax and there was a faint pink stain but it was hardly noticeable. if the wax is dark blue or black, you may not be as lucky.

Put ice on the wax. It will harden the wax and then you should be able to pick the wax pieces out. There are some commercial wax removers for carpets.

Take a blow dryer and a dishcloth that you don't care about and place the blow dryer over the area and melt the wax, start blotting the wax off. But this is after you try to get the larage chunks off as much as you can first.

My way is ghetto but effective.
Poil boiling hot water over the wax spot and scrape it off with a butter knife. You will have to repeat a few times as the wax keeps cooling off.

just saw on the Rachel Ray show... take a brown paper bag put on wax and take a warm iron and put on paper bag. I haven't tried it but but the heat from iron is supposed to absorb the wax on to the paper bag. Good Luck!
