Over the last few weeks, my kitchen wall has become totally damp, and marks are appearing on the ceiling too. I can't tell if it's coming from the apartment next door or upstairs. What sort of expert should I get round to discover the source of the problem? What should I be doing in the meantime? Thanks!!

My garden has lots of small clumps of soil surrouded with what look like ash. when crupled, the inside looks like brown compost. My plants, both inside and outside the greenhouse look like they are covered with ash, the leaves gradually turn yellow , flowers and the vegetables are affected. Is there a link? I would be grateful for ideas on what it could be and how to get rid of it. Many thanks

no i did not kill anyone...LOL :} my favorite blanket...it is whiteish and has floral collums...and i have had it for around 18 yrs. it has some very old blood stains on it...i have tried many things with no luck....i was thinking of trying peroxide but i'm not sure what would happen...i know that in the movies and on tv that some sort of heavy duty hospital quality type of peroxide could get blood out...but that is not a possibility...so does anyone have any good ideas of things that they have used that have WORKED????

I am an interior designer who has a client who can't identify the use of antique lamp she owns. It is old and a combination of iron and glass and is electric. It is about 36 inches tall. All this is in one peice. It has a 12"x12" platform on the top of emerald green glass which is uplighted from a torchere type lamp underneath. I would say it was a plant stand or display table of some kind. Her 83 year old mother insists that it is a piano light. This client has a very extensive and valuable antique collection of furnishings, accessories, paintings, fabulous vintage clothing, silver, linen, cars, etc. that was inheirited from her family members. So it is no telling what this thing is. Please help me!!!

I am moving into my very first home in a few weeks. I would love to be able to start all over, but I have to keep the furniture I currently own, and work around that. I have a chocolate brown, microfiber couch, which I like, however I LOVE COLOR! I was thinking of using a shade of blue or green for my walls. But, not sure how light or dark I should go. My parents said blue and green are for bedrooms only! Are they right, or just old fashion? Any suggestions?
