I live in the country in Oklahoma. In the morning, my yard has holes about 2x2x2 inches that look like they were scooped up by something. What animal does this?

I have #2 heating oil, can I burn that oil in a kerosene heater? If not, can I burn a 10% blend of kerosene(90%) and heating oil(10%)?

Most concrete or cinder blocks are hollow. In other words, they're just a shell, about an inch or two thick, not a solid block of concrete. You can hold them with your hands by putting part of each hand in the hollow area, or in both hollow areas for the most common cinder blocks, which have two.

But are all concrete blocks hollow? It seems to me the blocks used in the foundation of a house are more likely to be solid, because they have to hold up a lot of weight. And the top surface of the foundation wall has to be flat if bricks are on top of it. So it makes sense that the concrete blocks would be solid instead of hollow. But are they really?

I'm confused about this issue because I've never actually seen any solid concrete blocks. Just hollow ones. But it doesn't make sense to me that hollow ones would be appropriate for foundation walls. Which way would the holes be aimed? If upward, how would they have a flat surface to build the brick walls of the house on?

I only have 2 settings. Moderately hot (it's set on the highest setting and it barely gets hot enough to make a comfortable shower) and freezing cold. How do I fix it?

I just stubbled across the site http://michiganbulb.com/ looking for flowers. It looks like there are some pretty good deals on there and I was thinking about buying from them next year. But, I am wondering if anyone has used this company before and can tell me if it's worth buying from. :)

I put painter's tape on the ceiling to protect it and when I removed it, the paint from the ceiling came off on the tape. Now I have to repaint the ceiling and I need to know how to paint the ceiling again and not get paint on the walls. And visa versa. I have to retouch both now. Please don't tell me to use that tape again. And I also used an edger with rollers when I painted the walls, but the rollers had paint on them, so I had roller marks on the ceiling and now I have to retouch everythings.

Or anything I can retrofit.
I live in a mobile home park and the water pressure is a joke. I can't do any major repairs right now, but I would like a decent shower.
Thanks.
(and come on, lets hear um, trailer park jokes welcome. I'm white too, so get out your white trash jokes)

I currently have a metal roof on my house (built in the 1920's) that is deteriorated and leaks. What is the ballpark range for having this replaced? The total house is about 2000 sq. feet and has a 30 degree pitch here and there--I'm just looking for ballpark costs.

We both live in townhouses with neighbouring patios. I have a big tree and I had already cut all major branches extending into her patio area. Now after the summer time, some newly grown small branches went into her area again, and she's asking me to trim them again. I really like the trees since they make the house more like a home. Can I just reject her request? I heard in a radio program that people have no right to ask neighbours to cut or trim trees into their patios, but they have the right to cut those branches at their own cost. Is it true?

Thank you!

My husband and I went out this morning to do lawn work, noticed a few, and within an hour or two, we had to go back inside. They are flying into our faces, hair, crawling on us. There are just clouds of them, I can barely see out of the windows of my house because they are stuck to the house. What does this mean? I live in Western New York, it is a nice 75 degree day. Did they just hatch, are they looking for someplace to stay for winter, what?? And I swear that they can bite, do they??? I know they are good for the environment, and good luck, but this is too much. Hey, maybe we should play the lottery today!
