I have #2 heating oil, can I burn that oil in a kerosene heater? If not, can I burn a 10% blend of kerosene(90%) and heating oil(10%)?

The two are very close to each other chemically. I have known people who have used them interchangibly when they couldn't find one or the other. We have done that in our green houses. I personally am more cautious. I would call the mauufacturer of a kerosene heared and ask customer service if you can or visa versa.

do not try to burn #2 in a kerosene jet heater (torpedo) unless its in a real drafty space like an old barn or something. it will stink like $700

never burn #2 in a wick type heater. #2 has a high wax content and will foul the wick to the point that it will no longer light.

i wouldn't recommend any blend at all in a wick type heater.

Diesel would have been a better choice. There is more BTUs in diesel than K1 and it a heck of allot cheaper. If it will run ok K1 it will run on diesel.
