I live in the country in Oklahoma. In the morning, my yard has holes about 2x2x2 inches that look like they were scooped up by something. What animal does this?

I have them, too. They are being caused by squirrels. I actually caught them off guard while I was walking into my front yard.

MOLES, AND THEY CAN GET PRETTY BIG AND DUE SOME DAMAGE TO YOUR LAWN. THEY EAT THE ROOTS OF ANY PLANT. THEY WILL ALSO FEED OFF OF YOUR HEALTHY GRASS ROOTS! YOU CAN GET A PESTACIDE FOR THEM, OR IF YOU HAVE A CAT AND IT'S INSIDE, USE THE USED CAT LITTER IN THE HOLES AND THEN COVER IT UP. THEY CAN'T SEE, SO THEY USE THEIR SENSE OF SMELL. THEY SMELL A CAT, THEN THEY WILL SCAT!!!
