How does the solar panel PV system works in the Canadian winter during the snows. Will snow melt off by itself from the solar panels or certain angles I have to look into during installation. Do I have to bush off snow if I install it on the roof in the winter time.

My lack of knowledge of how the ac unit that is outside manages to cool the air that comes through my vents is likely the cause of my ignorance behind this question. Please explain this to me.

I have an 8 yr old stepson that lives with us sometimes. He has his own bedroom but is very plain and boring. I would love to decorate it in a cool way so he feels more at home there. We decided on cars for a theme. We live in an apartment so we can't paint the walls or hang too many things up. We are on a serious budget. Please give me some ideas that we can work with. Thank you!!

I've broken the turning knob on the dimmer switch. I've tried gluing it back on but no luck. Is it easy to replace the whole dimmer switch? Do I need to turn the electricity off at the mains box? As you can tell I'm no expert so appreciate your advice. Thanks

My GF is pressuring me for phsyical intimacy. So far I have managed to get out of these situations by changing the subject or spilling drinks on my pants and running home. I can't keep doing this forever.

I am not gay or against sex, it's just that I only agreed to go out with her because she is Large and pretty much threatened to beat me up if I said no. Well I have enjoyed hanging out with her but DO NOT want to take it to the next level.

What should I do?

He says the walls are very thin and he can hear the people next door listening to Mexican Wrestling programs when he is trying to go to sleep.

I think this is starting to have a subliminal effect on him. He has started wearing Spandex Pants and demanding cage matches with strangers who offend him.

Any suggestions on how to block out the sounds from the neighbors TV? Soundproofing, white noise, etc???

Please help!

I have a crappy water saver toilet. A Mansfield. CRAP CRAP CRAP! Anywho, when I push the handle, nothing happens. No flush, no water, no anything.

Now I know that if we had a normal toilet we could just reconnect the chain and all would be well. However, I don't have a normal toilet. I don't have the chain/flapper. Instead, I have some kind of funky tube that the lift arm slides into, and supposedly flushes that way.

I have taken it all apart trying to figure out what is going on, but just can't seem to see the problem.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

The piano is about 30+ years old, and has been sitting in a garage for about 10 years. It's in great condition and is tuned near perfectly. I just need to know what I can use to clean it without causing any damage.

They are off-white, so I dont mind using bleach, I just dont want them to fall apart if I bleach them. They are getting those mildew-y grey spots on them and look really dirty. The morning dew must be getting to them and making them wet. When they dont dry out right away, I think they are geting moldy-YUCK! I gotta get it out. What do I use?

What is the best product or way to clean pergo floors without having a "film" on the floor.

I clean mine on my hands and knees with mr clean and then go over it with the Orange Glo Hardwood floor cleaner (in the green spray bottle) with the special mop. I tried to use this floor cleaner only, but the floor just looked nasty and looked like it still needed to be "clean".

any suggestions on good ways to clean pergo flooring and less time consuming.

My husband and I would like to build an old hay barn style house. We want at least 3 bedrooms with one up top and 2 downstairs. We would like any help on how to get started on this and about how much it would cost. We are doing most of the work ourselves. Thanks for any help.
