What is the best product or way to clean pergo floors without having a "film" on the floor.

I clean mine on my hands and knees with mr clean and then go over it with the Orange Glo Hardwood floor cleaner (in the green spray bottle) with the special mop. I tried to use this floor cleaner only, but the floor just looked nasty and looked like it still needed to be "clean".

any suggestions on good ways to clean pergo flooring and less time consuming.

i use pergo floor spray and use a dry mop to mop it up. just spray it all over the floor first. no need to rinse. you can get it at home depot. no film.

Okay first you need to wipe the floor down with water or vinegar water to remove all the cleaners you've applied that created the film. And then when you clean it in the future you can use a vinegar and water solution. It cleans great, makes it shiny and deodorizes the room (the vinegar smell will fade and it'll leave a fresh smell) and it won't leave a film on the floor. Plus, it'll get through grease or whatever is on the floor in the kitchen. To touch it up you can use the laminate floor spray with the special mop, or fill a spray bottle with vinegar/water. I swear....it does work and won't harm the floor. Just don't leave water on it. That'll ruin it.

Believe it or not, I just use the Swiffer Wet Jet. It is amazing! Do not use the liquid for hardwood floors, it will leave a film. Just use the liquid for regular floors, tile, etc. It really is amazing. I have Pergo and was so surprised when I tried the Wet Jet. It dries within 15 mins or so and leaves it shinny. Good luck!

Deanna has the best answer.....try using the floor cleaner Pergo or other laminate flooring companies recommend you use. It's a spray and although its a bit more expensive than other products, it does a very good job and leaves no film. We tried other products oursleves and found them to be inferior to this spray.

good luck!

I use the clorox ready mop that you have to buy solution and disposable cleaning pads. It works pretty good. I grew up with cleaning on your hands and knees as well, and nothing cleans as good as that.
