I have some concrete steps (a one-piece slab with about 8 steps) that have sunken about six inches at the top of the steps where it meets my porch. I was thinking of digging a hole under the steps near the second-from-the-top step to allow room for an automotive-type 3-ton floor jack. If I raise this slab, how can I support it? Stack flat concrete paver-type stones? Or is there an alternative method? The concrete is in great shape; it's just sagged from settling earth.

I'm getting ready to sell a house I've just remodeled and I'd like to get one of those *display* cardboard dishwashers like they have in model homes, so that there's no big empty spot in the cabinets... Any ideas?

Bought a brand name full size airbed with 2 mattresses and side supports for visiting relatives. Sleeps like a dream. We've used it several times in the last 3 months since we've had it. But in the last couple of weeks it has developed a leak. The air goes down pretty significantly during the day. We have tried listening to every square inch of the entire bed - about 4 people tried this seperately. We can hear no air escape. We put a little water on the mattress to check for bubbles, didn't work. Any ideas? Warranty's expired and we sure cannot shell out another $275. (blah!) Any ideas of what we can do? Where or how else - my hair is already in lumps all over the floor where I have pulled it out - at least, I think it's my hair. Please help...wah...wah... :-(

They were little butterfly dolls similar to the Liddle Kiddle dolls from the 50's and they had little wings and each was a different color.

I have an asphalt driveway which is deteriorated. I would like advice on what to replace it with, a new asphalt driveway or a concrete driveway. Which will last longer, require least maintenance and be less susceptible to being damaged by underground roots, etc. In the long run will a concrete driveway be worth the added cost.

My fiance and I are having an argument about how to place our glasses in the cupboard.
I think we should simply place them right-side up (rim up) while he believes it is more appropriate to place the glasses upside down (rim down). How do you place your glasses and what do you think is the best way to place these everyday drinking glasses. (not crystal or fine glasses).

What can you apply to brass door handles to keep them from discolring and tarnishing? We just wet sanded them and want to keep them looking good and are unsure what the best thing to use would be. Any suggestions are greatly apprecieated.

I'm planning on buying a lazy boy leather recliner and of course the sales people tell me I should buy the Guardsman furniture protection plan which is an additional $89. Is this something really necessary or is this just another money maker for the corporation? Will any store bought leather cleaner do?
