I have really no landscaping. Meaning no trees that I can use the leaves from.My biggest worry is that they will die over the winter if they don't have some kind of protection. Any good ideas that are low in cost. I live in a zone 2-3

I was at a home center looking around and they had windows on display and what I thought I used to know was a double hung window I guess isn't. They had double hung windows and single hung windows side by side and I couldn't tell they were different looking at them. I thought maybe the "double" meant double pane glass, but the single hung windows had this as well. They both retracted up and down and functioned about the same. Gees, can some please explain????

I have tried all the tried and true... cleaned cupboards, put all grains in freezer, things in airtight containers however I have a bird.... I keep his food in the refrigerator, vacuum daily, put out three or four of those traps and collect at least 15 a day. I am getting desperate.. I have tried all the things except getting rid of the bird and that is not an option. Help..... I am desperate. I know it comes from the birdseed but I freeze it first and then have to put some in his cage.. and the rest is in the refrigerator.. Is there any other magic way to get rid of them... Does an exterminator work or will they come back?

My yard is covered with acorns. I remember a few years back the same thing happened. I am sure someone told me it had something to do with the upcoming winter.

When I got them home, I realized that they look Thanksgiving-y. Essentially, it's just the colorful leaves, candles, and fall plants (fake, but nice), and a couple of wreaths (one with fall leaves, the other with berries, etc). My question, is it too early to set these out now or should I wait until after Halloween?

I am thinking of buying a condo in Miami, Fl. I was wondering if I should buy the one on the tenth floor in a high-rise building or the one on the third floor in a four storey building. Both are bay front properties. Which one should withstand a hurricane (cat. 1-3) better? Is the building standard better for one than the other?

We are buying a house that has a private pond, but the property is grown up and the pond is filthy. Can I do anything to clean it up that won't hurt the fish? Is there anything I can do to help make the fish thrive?

One of our bathrooms has had wall paper on the walls at one time. It seems as if they have painted over the paste instead of removing it. It is now starting to crack and peel. I need help with this. If I try and scrap it off it leaves a really bad spot n the wall. Should I sand it off? Or can I cover it with something and then repaint?
