vinegar is one way, I know Clorox will kill the bacteria..but be careful of the fumes.........they can cause breathing problems and head-aches.
Yes, I am coping with it all at the same time.........and it can be exhausting eh? Good things come in time......you'll see.

Bleach alone will not do. I know of several people who've treated their flooded houses for mold, closed in the walls and the mold came back. Air purifiers help. I have several Ionic Breeze air purifiers, of which I prefer the ones w/ the ultra violet light the best. And I've heard that the air purifiers that can be inserted into central a/c systems are good as well. The ones I have help if it is just a little musty, but if you have a mold problem it means you need to find where the moisture problem is. Do you have musty books, etc? If so, get rid of them.

Open the windows and pull the furniture away from the walls or put it outside if possible to keep it from ruining! Use bleach water to wash the mold but use gloves and wear a mask! My neighbor had it so long that it rotted her dresser in the back and it was ruined. All of her clothes that she rarely wore were ruined also. Check your furniture. If it is ruined and your are renting the house you might can get it paid for. I would try.I hope you are better soon. Wash all of your clothing and wooden/plastic/glass furniture before it goes into the new place. Shampoo all upholstered furniture and rugs(if the rugs can be washed it will be best.) and wash all curtains. If you don't take care of this as or before moving you will just be bringing the problem with you. It is a pain to do this but it is better than breathing in more mold! I am allergic to it also. Best wishes for a mold free future!

I have had the same problem. The only real solution is to rip out the sheetrock, clean the area underneath with a 10% bleach solution and let it dry. Then get the paperless sheetrock and replace it. You might try removing the old sheetrock and clean yourselft to save money. If you are good at tape and bed work you can install the new sheetrock. If you are not good at this, you can hire someone with experience to do it for you.
BTW, a lot of people in New Orleans have done this. I'm amazed when I see a little old lady that has removed her nasty, moldy sheetrock. I wish I could afford to go there and help!

Oh yes! Mold is nasty stuff. We had to completely gut an entire section of a house that we recently bought because of it. It was so disgusting and nearly ruined my health. I know just how bad you feel! Try to take echinachea and vitamin c as well as zinc to help your immune sysytem deal with the allergic response it's having to the mold.using clorox to deal with the mold made me deathly ill even with a protective mask.Moving is a great idea! Good luck.

Inexpensive Product Is "Household Bleach". Wear a mask & scrub the mold then rinse and repeat. That's it, molds all gone.

Just plain old Bleach and water does wonders, I had it an apt. I used to live in. Just don't mix it to strong or it will fade the thing you spray it on.
