One of our bathrooms has had wall paper on the walls at one time. It seems as if they have painted over the paste instead of removing it. It is now starting to crack and peel. I need help with this. If I try and scrap it off it leaves a really bad spot n the wall. Should I sand it off? Or can I cover it with something and then repaint?

The best thing to do is to sand it. If you can't get it sanded perfectly smooth, they have really great wall texture mediums you can apply to the freshly prepared walls, then paint them.

Use a scraper to scrape off the loose stuff. Then apply spackle to the entire wall. That's the professional way to do it. I have done it numerous times.

you might be able to score it and then apply wallpaper paste remover and scrap the walls. They sell little rollers that will score the wall. you will have a big mess no matter what. good luck.

you may easily clean off the residue with a mix of two areas water to a million section downy (or vinegar) in a gallon skill. the two a sort of enjoyed ones products will shrink by way of glue residue on the wall without employing chemical ingredients. you quite would desire to top the partitions lower back, only as a precaution. it is extra desirable to do it real the 1st time instead of procuring it a 2d... I owned a wallpaper/paint corporation and professionally put in and bumped off wallpaper for 10 years - this quite works!
