My electric usage on my bill is more than double from what it was last year. I have not run my AC at all this last month. I don't have any extra things from last year, in fact, I replaced my electric oven with a new model.

About two years ago I bought a pie safe in an unfinished furniture store. I presume the wood is pine, but it was not stated on the hang tag.We finished it using Minwax in a light oak.It looked very nice when fininshed. Now white patches are coming to the surface. We are wondering, what did we do wrong? Thanks in advance for your answers.

I love the green- it is sage but dark. But it is a recent consideration. I love browns, they make me feel calm and earthy. What do you think?

I live in Raleigh NC and have a yard that is half fescue grass and half dead (I used grass killer to get rid of wire grass). Now I've aerated and seeded. I think I should put fertilizer down now. But I also had my soil tested and it said I need to apply lime. Should I apply fertilizer and lime or one and not the other or neither with my new seeds? HELP!!

I have 3 daughters with long hair and they all brush their hair and the hair comes out onto the floor, mainly onto mats & the carpets. I do vaccum it off but half the time I have to physically remove it. Such a fustrating job. No matter how many times I tell the girls not to drop it on the floor it still appears and is driving me crazy. Now I know why I keep my hair short. Also I find hair in the shower plughole and the basin the sink. They won't touch it at all and it is up to me to clean it up. Just such an annoying habit that it really gets up my goat. Other than giving them a number 1 haircut I can't see any other solution. As per usual it is left up to Mum to cleanup. (Interesting to see how they get on when they go flatting). Probably think the phantom cleaner will clean up after them.

I have since remarried. My previous husband and I still have a single wide mobile home that we co-own. I have taken on the responsibility of this, although it remains in both our names. I can't continue to pay for this mobile home and want to return it to the lender. What are the consequences of this. It is in Alabama.

Mud Dobbers are a wasp that builds it's mud home under overhangs or anyplace where it's out of the elements on the outside of your home. They are easy to knock down with a stick, like a broom, however they leave a stain where they are attached. What's the best way to clean that stained surface? I have stucco.

We just moved into this house. I don't know how old the tree is, but it does seem to be a mimosa (I'll ask the neighbors if it blooms) and I think it is sick. It has a patchy greenish film in areas of it's grey trunk and branches. It also has big gashes in it and black areas.

I have a double person room all to myslef, but there are two beds beside each other "I Love Lucy" style. They don't move because they are built into the floor. The matresses move, but the bed frame has to stay put. I want to find something creative to do with it. Any ideas?
