I have a double person room all to myslef, but there are two beds beside each other "I Love Lucy" style. They don't move because they are built into the floor. The matresses move, but the bed frame has to stay put. I want to find something creative to do with it. Any ideas?

Expecting any visitors from home? It's always great to have a spare bed to have a friend or family member stay with you. I would leave it as a bed. When I was at school, however, I built the frame of a loft over bed #1, dismounted bed 2 from the floor and suspended it over bed #1. That is what I would do.

you can take the mattress into storsage and get a board to put over the bed so you have some extra seating room for company or a different plae to sit. Also you are lucky to get a 2 person dorm room all to yourself

We always put a nice spread and stacked the pillows the long way against the wall, it turns an extra bed into a couch (well, sort of) and it is still available for someone to sleep in if you have a guest (invite a yonger sibling to come stay one night, they will be so excited!)

If there is no possible way to have it moved, just turn it into a couch. The easiest way would be to put a flat sheet on the mattress and get xtra pillows like body pillows and whenever your friends come over they have a xtra place to hang out and sit that's way more comfortable.

Put a piece of plywood over the empty bed frame (after removing the mattress). Put a tablecloth (something sturdy that won't slide off) over it. Should make a nice big table.

Find a lucky lucky guy? :D .. kidding! :P

I think actually you should leave it as a bed. If you make it into something else .. then whatever activity you do there will be too close to your bed.. and if your bed isn't just for sex and sleep then you can start having trouble sleeping.

what a blah answer huh?

put some pillows and a bedspread on it. that way you can switch if you ever get bored of your normal bed, it can serve as a couch, and if someone spends the night no one has to sleep on the floor.

Rent it out if demand is more than supply. Or u can share with a friend and split the dorm charges.

Turn it into a king size bed. They have converter kits at stores like Bed Bath and Beyond and Linens n Things. The sheets are a little more expensive but then you have a much bigger bed and who does't love a king size bed??
