You don't give enough info for an accurate answer. What KIND of evergreens? What type of fertilizer, if any, did you use in the holes you planted them in? How much did you disturb the root systems when you planted them? Have you WATERED them? How frequently? What part of the world did you plant these? What type of soil is prevelant where you planted these?
I suggest you write down all the answers to those questions and ask your local nursery about this.....like the one you bought these evergreens from? .... did you transplant them from the wild?
A nursery will be much more able to pinpoint the EXACT cause of your problems and help you solve those problems in the BEST way. Better act QUICK!!! These evergreens sound like they may not last much longer.
GOOD LUCK!

It is always best to transplant evergreens in the fall. Your boxwood might suffer from Leaf Spot, which shows pale brown spots. Try a copper spray.

It sounds like you might have gotten some air pockets in the root system. Also, don't fertilize trees immediately after transplanting them. They have to survive the transplant shock first before the are stimulated for new growth. Plus the fertilizer straight on roots will burn them like salt on an open wound.

after 3 months they should be rooting, did you plant them at the same death as they were before? did you tamp the dirt good,(air pockets) did you move them from shade to sun or sun to shade? don't over water them,a good soaking once a week should be enough, check for pods, may need insecticide,in any case if evergreens turn completely brown,in most cases its to late to save them,if any of the above is likely, corect the problem and see what happens late spring.

Try again now. It is cooler, and keep them watered. Evergreens drink water with their foilage too. You can't keep them moist enough in the summer.
