I have a large paved area, with lots and lots of weeds on, does anyone know of a very very strong weedkiller/pathclearer, and where can i get it from in uk. The usual superstore brands are not working.

You know those things that supposedly send a mouse packing his bags to leave your house. The electronic devices that send out a high-frequency sound that mice can hear (humans cannot) that drives a mouse nuts. They don't wanna stay anymore! Do they work? No, not the mouse. The devices! Do the devices work?

I was told that when I use a generator, you might as well put on all lights because consumption is the same regardless of number of lights and appliances connected to it. Is that correct? Can I save fuel by lessening use?

I'm renovating (in Australia) and have been using Dulux in the past. However the local paint shop has talked about Solver Paint and reckons it's pretty good and it's a lot cheaper. This is for interior walls and ceilings and in flat or satin. I'm worried about paint density as some brands make water look thick !!

Have vacation home in western NC which will be unoccupied during the winter months. Evening temps routinely below freezing, sometimes high winds, frequent snows. I understand general principles to avoid bursting water pipes and fixtures. I seek a check list to make certain I don't overlook details.

Both the dresser and the drawers are oak. There is no "track" per se. The drawer just rubs on the wood dresser. How can I make it slide easier? Thanks!

We turned our furnace on for the first time in the house we bought last month. There is a hose coming from the furnace that is leaking water. We have central air so I am thinking the water has something to do with that. Just wondering what the hose is for and why there is water coming from it.

I heard that there was a website but I can't find it.

I'd rather do it without speaking to the estate agents/previous owners etc....

I just had a bunch of work done on my house...new roof, vinyl siding, gutters, shed, new windows. Should I tip the contractor or buy him a thank you gift? I know he made a ton of money on it. Would this be too personal or make him uncomfortable? I have been working with him for 2 months. What do you think?
