I don't want to run two seperate wires from alarm control panel 'cos system is already installed. I just want to add some contacts to a vulnerable window. Thanks for your help

I don't know what colours you are working with, but if you want them both on the same zone you wire the contacts in series, ie. from panel into A, out of A into b, out of B return to panel (Zone terminals) The tampers usually just loop through, so you can do almost anything with them, probably best to do the same as for the contacts though!

If it's a vulnerable window why not fit a vibration sensor?

alarm systems are normally "break to alarm" so you need to put them in series. Before running the cable why not try it first before you fit the switches.

Wire them in series. Cable from the alarm panel to the first contact then another piece to the second contact.

From alarm panel -----------> first contact -----------> second contact------------> back to alarm panel

wire them in series, not in parallel. Look up on net will give diagrams of the difference between the two.
