Seriously ignore hazelj about the peanut butter. That is what my family has used for years to bait mouse traps in our home because mice actually have to stay at the trap to get it all and can't just swipe it and go. I think your best bet would be the electric sonic plug ins. Also clean up very carefully around the entire house. Event if the mice are not getting food in your room they may be nesting there. Check any storage boxes or baskets that have out of season clothes in them for nuts, dry pasta, raisins or any other small food that they may have brought from some other area of your house and hid in this cosy place to eat later.

You go to your local hardware store, and you find something called the "tomcat" live catch mouse trap. It's not a snap trap that kills them. It's a little box they get caught in. There are two doors that the mouse curiously crawls into, and they get caught when they walk into the doors. They just get caught into a box, and are bewildered, but alive. You simply take the box with the mouse (or mice) outside, or maybe 5 miles away, and open the box. The mouse will jump out, and run. Hopefully you'll never see the mouse again, but anything's possible. They have great senses, and know where to go to get back where they once were. Make sure you monitor your catches every day. If you forget, you'll end up with some dead mice in the trap, from dehydration or starvation. If you live in the U.S., go to Lowe's home improvement center, if you have one in your area. They carry the Tomcat's there.

to prevent their entry seal all gaps, even very very small ones, youd ne amazed at the small size some mice can get through

if they are in then consider buying a so called humane trap (non leathal) and bait with somehting like peanut butter or even chocolate. when youy trap any mice you can then take them outside (reasonably far from the house and release them). Although why its called humane to take a mouse from a wrm centrally heated house outside and sling 'em into a hedge or grass (where they are unfamiliar and prone to predation from things like cats) is called humane beats me....

try the ironmongers they are usually a clear plastic trap about 1.5" square in profile and about 6" long

The easiest way is to get a cat. But otherwise you have to close off all holes in the wall. Put a sweeper on the bottom of your door because they can get in a 1/4" space. Don't leave open food in your room.

There is electrical plug-ins that send a noise throughout the electrical system which the mice can't live with and you can get them at any B&Q or other DIY stores.

Get a cat and it will kill them for you.

Actually the smell of a cat should deter them, & if they are really thick mice, it's only right that the cat should cull them

block up all holes, especially gaps under doors, by radiators etc...screw up some old paper and stuff it tightly into the holes. Also, get some polyfilla to fill in gaps..

you need to deal with the bigger picture...how to stop them coming into my house. Get a pen and paper and look around the outside, noting down where they can get in..do something to block those gaps.

Try your local hardware store, supermarket or riteaid/walgreens type store. They sell an electronic pest repelland that you plug into your wall outlet. It has an outlet on the side so your not really losing a place to plug something in.
