Right now, I have linoleum TILES! Of all the things someone decided to put in a bathroom! The water seeps right through the subflooring. It makes me wonder what would be the best type of flooring to put in to prevent more damage.

Ok, I've just moved into this new house, and there is hard stuff all at the bottom of the toilet pan, and some round the edges. (sorry i dont know what its called but you must know what i mean).

What sort of person leaves thier toilet like this?

How can I remove it as bleach down the toilet doesnt work, and I've scrubbed and scrubbed it and its just not shifting?

Is it also legal to cut down any parts of the trees that hang over into my garden in order to put a stop to the fruits that keep falling on to my lawn?

We had a leak from our upstairs bathroom and parts of the wall downstairs has started bubbling out. At one point, there was a bubble filled with water on the wall. Ugghh! How do I fix this?

I need to get a piece of sheetmetal to screw up into the frame of a broken damper so I can seal off my chimney for a set of unvented gas logs. Any idea on what thickness or grade of sheetmetal to use for a high heat area such as this? Also, the damper is some pretty hefty steel..any ideas on how to drive a screw through it..a special drill bit maybe?

I went on my hols last month and they had a coal fire inside the lounge, and no matter what we did we couldn't get it to light. I am guessing it dodgy coal but anyways I want to know for next time some good tips for getting a fire going.

I know it sounds dumb, but my son is kind of small, and tee shirts I order in his size are, half of the time, too big. We just got a 6-8, that looks like a 10-12, and it's a 100% cotton. I just need to shrink it a little bit. Any Serious replies? Thanks

It's a very small room (10' x 5' 6") the stand up shower and toilet are on the far wall (34" shower, 32" toilet), a pedestal sink is to the left of the door upon entrance. Wainscotting surrounds the room a little higher than your standard chair rail. The adjacent room (my kitchen) has wainscotting chair rail high painted Sherman Williams (SW) Library Pewter, the upper wall (SW) Heron Plume. Should I keep the same colors? I'm afrain of the dark color because of the size of the room. I thought about white for the wainscotting and (SW) rainwashed for the upperwall. Check out their website and tell me what you think: http://www.sherwin-williams.com/do_it_yourself/ Also, what about decor? I have an awesome seashell collection I could use, but I'm open for other idea's. Please dig deep into your artistic minds and help me make it a really nice room.
