I know it sounds dumb, but my son is kind of small, and tee shirts I order in his size are, half of the time, too big. We just got a 6-8, that looks like a 10-12, and it's a 100% cotton. I just need to shrink it a little bit. Any Serious replies? Thanks

Wash in the hottest water possible. If the water in your washer dont get hot enough, boil a pan of water on the stove and then set it to the side then put the shirt in and let it soak until the water cools, then remove and let it drip enough that you can put it in the dryer. Then thats all the shrinking it`s going to do.
Good Luck

I have to agree; wash in hot, dry high heat. But the way kids grow you'll be asking "who needs size 6-8 tee shirts" soon.

cotton shrinks. Wash in hot water and dry till it gets the size you want.

once you're worried they'd become too small, only enable them to be your looser shirts which you place on once you're wanting to be extra well-off. If it is cotton, you may wash them in warm water and dry with intense warmth. they'd desire to shrink some. yet some cotton shirts are preshrunk and could not do lots.

Washing too hot should do it.

But in my experience only the things you don't want shrunk shrink, and trying to shrink something deliberately is just tempting Murphy's Law to hate you!

But good luck :)

All cotton shrinks in the dryer. It won't be a significant difference, but it will still get smaller.
