Not exactly sure what you mean, but here goes. Spider spins thread at one place and the breeze takes it to the other. It can then move along this thread and start to build its web, using the breeze when necessary.

I'm not sure but if that's a 20' FOOT web I wouldn't hang around to find out, as it's going to be one big spider!
