You know those things that supposedly send a mouse packing his bags to leave your house. The electronic devices that send out a high-frequency sound that mice can hear (humans cannot) that drives a mouse nuts. They don't wanna stay anymore! Do they work? No, not the mouse. The devices! Do the devices work?

I think they are a ripoff. I have a friend who bought a couple of them and actually watched mice forage in close proximity to the units with no apparent affect.

I think the old fashioned spring traps are still the best option. We bait them with crunchy peanut butter. In our lakeside cottage, once we get rid of the current resident mice, we still leave the traps out to get the occassional stray.

Good luck with your mouse problem.

Yes, they work. I was REAL sceptical. My mother bought one years ago and she swore by it. so when the mice started invading us a couple years ago we bought a couple at a feed and farm store. the sales person told us we'd see more for a week or so as the mice would be looking for ways out to get away from the noise. (They also use them in the store tokeep the mice away from the feeds). It has worked like we were told haven't seen a trace of a mouse in over a year. They don't bother pets we have both cats and dogs.

I actually found these to work fairly well, I too didnt think they would work at all, but my roommate at my first house (7 years ago) used them and to be honest, they really did work, as much as i hate to admit it.

best of luck

It's said they work for a short period, but then the mice get used to it.
