I have finally rooted a green ti plant. One of the 4 inch logs that come in a plastic bag from Hawaii. There are roots on the bottom portion of the log that was in water, and I can see some green nodes on the top horizontal portion coming out. What is the best medium to plant this in, and should I keep it horizontally? The two red logs have not sprouted yet. Are they still viable?

I have NO CLUE which colors look good, or go with red...and i do NOT want GREEN! PLEASE, can someone help me decide which colors might look good to pain on my walls?? THANKS =)

Is it worth insulating interior walls and floors between 1st floor and second (two story home). I live in Michigan. I've been told it makes a nice sounds barrier, but I have cold air returns and heating ducts that allow for a lot of sound to travel anyway... just curious to see what the experts think.

I'm in Southern California, and I wanted to grow some potted climbing vines on a trellis to make a privacy wall on my patio. I love bouganvillias so I started there. While they flower often, they are long and spindly instead of full -- they're not providing the privacy screen I wanted. Do pots just limit the roots and therefore the growth of bouganvillias? Is there a trick to helping it grow nice and full, or should I be trying another potted vine that would provide fuller coverage of the trellis?

We recently bought our first home. We want to invite family and friends over to celebrate but are not sure if it is okay for us to host our own housewarming.

I'm collecting state quarters & I want them to look decent cause some of them are really dirty & have crap on them. I've heard vinegar or something like that is good for cleaning change...is that true? Does anyone else know anything cheap that's good at getting change (whether it's a quarter or a penny) nice & shiny again??? Some of my change has A LOT of stuff on it that won't scrape or scrub off!
