You have a red leather couch, white walls - Since you picked red, I'm guessing that's a favorite color of yours?
I'd say paint the wall half white and half red with an edger (like those you see around the front/back doors) placed where the white and red paint meet. This creates sort of a Lifeguard kind of color and would match your red leather couch perfectly.

Well, I'm a guy and certainly no expert in colors, but I've always thought that Blue goes well with Red. Black gives more of Gothic feel to it, but could look good for a while. I personally like Navy Blue, but a Sky Blue might give a better contrast. The idea of painting just one wall isn't bad either, but that would give a Red, White, Blue theme that seems to get a little over used. (I'm personally a fan of the scheme though) come to think of it, Silver or maybe a Grey might not look too bad either. I'm sure whatever you choose will look great: girls just have that way with colors.

I don't suppose you have crown moldings, do you? I've seen an AWESOME room with black baseboards and moldings, white walls, and red or black furniture. It was very modern and quite chic.
If that's not your scene, you have several other choices:
You could do some sort of blue treatment (you know, the "Americana Look") and head shabby-chic with the rest of the furnishings.
Love florals? Go with a golden huge and roses--you know those lovely ones with the yellow body that fades into a pinkish color then tinged with red at the tips?
Good luck with this--I bet you'll find something GREAT--you were daring enough to go with a red couch you love, you'll find the RIGHT thing for you!

a crisp white (or even slightly off white) with a very dark brown color for trim (moldings and doorframes) pair it with the couch and a nice dark coffee and end table (matching the molding) and a white or off white rug (matching the walls) and its classic!
use modern accesories on the table, a few books even. a glass vase with a few simple flowers, and some sort of abstract piece.
thats what i would do. good luck!

Take a picture to the Home Depot and check out their literally hundreds of selections of colors; personally, Maybe a light steel gray or some sort of faux, marbleized finish with various shades of blacks, pinks, grays, white; I have a marble floor in one of my bathrooms that picks up tons of different colors from whatever rug, drapes, wall colors i use....it's perfect!

Anything in the brown family. Avoid strong hues, as they will tend to clash. Black will make your room look like a vampire's boudoir. Accent with silk throw pillows in champagne, chocolate, and/or taupe. Have fun!

I would think slate blue would look really awesome. Especially if you added black and white photography on the wall. With a white shag rug. Maybe a black candlestick lamp/red lampshade and fresh bluebell flowers.

Use a rich, clay beige color. Medium weight. I would consider black, clay beige and white accents with brushed nickel lamp bases, etc..

Either taupe or black. You can just paint one accent wall also.
