I just moved into 4 year old home. I found that 1 electrical outlet in living room does not work. All others in house do. What causes this? should I be concerned? The house is a rental property.

I recently moved into a new house that is 3 years old. The walls in the living room are chalky and will leave a white dust on your hands or clothing if you touch them. How can I remedy this so I can repaint. I'd rather do it myself than hire a professional so I hope someone knows!!

Thanks in advance.

I'm locked out of my apartment and I can't get a hold of my landlord. Its a 4-plex and I'm on the second story...My lock is your average lock and I've tried the credit card method. My cats are hunger and I want to get into some decent clothes. (I'm at a friends house if your wondering).

I have a lennox whisper heat gas furnace (about 20 years old). I sometimes have to trip a reset switch on the flame throw out sensor ( Believe that is what it was called) to have the burners ignite and for it to start heating again. I replaced the sensor and had the chimney inspected for obstructions. The inspector found none and said the furnace had a sufficent draw. What else could be causing the furnace to stop heating?

We've had the driest summer on record in this area, but the mushrooms keep growing, in bunches, in my gardens as well as the lawn. I've lived here three years and have never seen a mushroom here before.

I am prepping my 35 year old garage floor to apply rustoleum epoxy shield coating. With it being older it has very heavy oil/grease stains that are still there after using a concrete concentrate cleaner and on a different day using krud kutter.... I know not to mix chemicals. The epoxy shield system comes with a citric acid granuale cleaner, but I am not sure if it will remove the stains to have a good bond for the final epoxy coating. Any suggestions on what to use? Thanks

I am currently in a real estate class and I have to find homes with different architecture designs. However, I am not aware of all the different architecture designs. Is there a website that you know of that explains different designs or is anyone familiar with different architecture designs? Thanks!

We are painting our condo. We have a cedar wall and a brick fireplace in warm rusts/browns/etc. The rugs and walls are currently what I call an oyster or driftwood colour. What colour would you paint the walls? I would like to have a feature wall of colour as well. What do you think?

I'm laying my first floor next weekend and I plan on putting a peice underneath and horizontal across the entry door. That said, I was planning on racking the rest of the floor so that the pieces that meet the door come in at an exact 90 degree angle. Visually this would make everything look straight across the room when you enter. The problem is we've found that our main vertical wall is off by over three inches on the far end. I prefer to have the difference on the wall but what's the best practice here? Should I miter a single peice for down the wobbly wall (and keep my 90 degree angle at the door) or should I line up the rack with the wall and miter an angle for each peice the touches the door?
