I want to add my attic and basement to the overall square footage of my house when I list it for sell. What is required to make an attic listed as a bedroom and a basement listed as a den? Can I just list them as that or do I have to remodel something?

I moved into my house about a year ago. I've been busy decorating the rest of the house and haven't done my bedroom.

Yesterday I purchased some bedroom furniture. It's black but kinda antiquey looking.

Any suggestions on the color or colors I should paint my room. I really like dark colors but since I bought black furniture, should I go with a light color?

I'm 25, so nothing too immature.

I'm trying to determine what size 2-speed pump to buy for my pool. I'd like to reduce my overall electric bill and low-speed filtering sounds appealing. I'd probably only use the high speed for the SPA. I've got an approx. 25,000 (guestimated volume) in-ground pool/spa combo that's something less than 7 years old (new house to us, previous owner had it installed, no other info available). It's currently got 2" PVC plumbing connected to a 2HP pump driving a 300sqft cartridge filter that normally runs about 15 PSI in the filter, but goes as high as 25 when the valves are set for the spa. There's about 20-25ft separation between pump and the furthest return and the pump is about 2-3 ft above the poolwater level. I run a Hayward Viper pressure side cleaner on a booster pump. What more do I need to know in order to determine which pump to buy (just getting a 2 HP max 2-speed is too simple an answer, I'm complicated that way...).

Sorry that it took me so long to get back to this. Now as to this plant. I know that it's not an African Violet. Sorry, thanks for your answer though. More info: It has heart shaped leaves 3" long, smooth edges and a light green almost white double stripe down the center of the leaf. right now it's only about 6" tall, I don't know how big it gets. And, I guess that it's some sort of tropical.

My water heater blew a hole and my whole basement started absorbing the H2O. My bulider had his flooring company remove all the laminate flooring. Since it hasn't been a yr yet since i moved in, the flooring company was supposed to pay the repair cost. I just got a call that i'm supposed to pay for the repairs. what should i do? My builder is such a snob....he said he would start the repair work two days ago, but no one has come to get the work done.

what is the advantage and disadvantage of a house that has vinyl floor in every room ? I am thinking of changing the carpet in my house into vinyl because carpet seems making me sneeze a lot.
I prefer changing it into wood or tile actually, but I heard wood and tile are expensive, breaks easily.
thanks

We just need to remove paper on an outside wall of a bedroom and it's stuck pretty well to the wall. We also need to remove a border. Should we use chemicals or steam? I'm open to hear about experience and advice.

I know all the wise-a$$ answers will follow , but honestly it seems strange to me that someone can mosey on up to your door and solicit you. I hate that they never get straight to the point.

What is the best way to maintain the cleanliness of a portable spa? Bromine, chlorine, baking soda etc.? My spa guy say just bromine and baking soda however; the bromine tablets take forever to break down...oh yeah, the spa contains about 400 gallons.

I've heard of a carpet cleaner called Spot Shot. I was wondering if anyone has used it? Does it work? Where can you buy it at? If not, what can I use on old stains on my carpets. I have no idea what the stains are. They were here when I moved in. So if anyone could help I'd be greatly appreciated. Btw, I have light tan carpets.
