First you have to find out the source and why they are in there. I had a plant in my office that they somehow invaded. I had them flying past my computer screen and would drive me crazy. It could also be from discarded pieces of fruit. They "love" banana peels!!!! I got some bug spray especially used for the plant and sprayed it about every other day for a week. They finally were all killed. Well, I guess they were, I haven't seen any since. Good luck... I know they are pesky little devils!!!!

take the garbage outside everyday. If you have fresh fruit or veggies, you might have to store them in the frige for awhile. gnats will leave (or die) within 24 hours of removing the thing that attracted them to your house. make sure there are not any damp spots, like a leaking faucet, roof, or wet bathroom. Gnats also like potted plants. I don't know how to keep them away from potting soil.

I have used my mother-in-law's remedy for years because I live in orchard country and there are times of the year when fruit gnats are unavoidable. If you pour a small amount of white vinegar in a cup and put a drop of dishwashing detergent in it, the vinegar draws them and the detergent kills them. I usually have to do it for a week or two (depending onthe season) but they eventually all commit vinegar suicide.

RAID!!!!!!!!!!

or any other type of bug spray. I use Ortho because it lasts a while once sprayed on or in an area. Spray the screens every couple days for a week or two to prevent more from getting in. They should be easy to get rid of.
Have a great day!!!
