We put my husbands bike in the back seat of our new car and now it has black all over the seats. Anyone know a DIY miracle worker?
Thanks!

I recently purchased a cotton Teeshirt, and after its first wash it had shrunk significantly, I then took it back to the store, who sent it away for analysis, only to be told there was nothing wrong with it.
How can a Lab identify shrinkage after the goods have already been washed?

I have too much luggage to take on the plan from LAX to Washington DC. I need to have my winter clothes in Washington DC by Mid-to-late october though (preferably earlier, but i'm flexible). I'm not sure what service I should - or even CAN - use for this type of thing. It's not important to me if it takes 10 days or 25 days for it to get there. The most important things are that a) it does in fact get there safely and b) it is relatively cost effective.

I would appreciate any advice greatly. If you know of a specific website, i'd really appreciate the URL and any other info. Thanks so much. I will be checking responses nearly every 5 minutes.

Thanks again!

Sorry, if this question and answer sounds mean or prejudice.
I pretend no one's home and turn off the lights, tv, etc.

It's a 50 year old vinyl tub/shower. I’d love to take a bath but I’m afraid of what’s living on it.

I have washed the head, soak it in all types of disinfectants and yet still it leaves an odor when mopping and this mop is just about a month old. To make it worst I have no pets or children!

I need to buy my first toolbox and keep tools in it for doing odd jobs around the house. What are some standard things I should keep in it? Also, what are some other tools/items you would recommend I keep in it? Thanks! :-)

My fiance and I are moving after we are married. We did our registry according to color but we want some Celtic accents to tie them all together, you know, pretty knotwork, etc, but we don't want to spend a lot of money for specialty or imported items.

I have a raised subfloor in my downstairs, not quite a basement level, they built it up with something above the concrete and the layer showing is OSB that is smothered in old dried glue.

There was office type carpet glued directly to the subfloor so now just glue shows and I can't see or fathom how I would get this flooring up to start fresh or flip it over.

So instead I'm thinking about covering it with a layer of thin (1/4 inch maybe) plywood. I am just putting laminate there for now, the problem is the glue makes for a rough surface, dogs have definitely peed on the floor and where corners of OSB meet some edges are buckling up, there was vinyl in one part of the downstairs and the uneveness was causing it to crack and break off.

I don't want my new floor to crack and I'd like to start with a clean slate. But if I use too thick of plywood I will have to trim all my doors and baseboards because the floor will get too tall. Help! :). Thanks in advance for any pointers.
