I've read of questions on here about how to get rid of silverfish, and I've looked up methods on Google. But I'm worried that if I set up borax or silverfish packets that my cats (have 2) might get into them.

Do you have any suggestions for cat-safe traps?

We have a Krups espresso machine, and we have read the manual and cleaned it out with vinegar like it said, but the flavor is still not the same as it was brand new. We use it everyday, so I was wondering if there is something we could do to get the old coffee smell/flavor out of the machine?

I have a tub/shower combo which has the little "pull-up" valve that switches the water flow from the tub faucets to the showerhead. I have had increasing problems having to jiggle the little pull-up on the faucet to get it to switch and now it simply will not do it. Is there a simple way for me to fix it without payng huge plumber prices?

Does anyone know a good way to clean stuffed animals without the fur getting matted? My daughter has a basket full of favorite stuffed animals that were in our basement and now have a mildew smell. I would like to clean them up and get the smell out but I do not want to ruin them. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I looked at the ingredients of my liquid solar cover that I put in my pool and it only said isopropyl alcohol. So I was wondering if anyone knows if I can just pour isopropyl alcohol in my pool to use as a cheaper liquid solar cover. Thank you for your time and feel free to respond even if you haven't tried it.

I am installing a 5000 watt home generator. Instructions say to ground it to a copper grounding stake. The stakes I have found at building suppliers are 10 feet long. Is this length necessary? If so, how do you prevent the stake from bending when you drive it into the ground?

Both male and female goldfinches having been pecking at the windows (all different rooms) for a couple of weeks now. Sunflowers have been planted out doors to attract them for years, this year too, yet this is the first time we've seen this behavior.

Due to an old roomates German Shepard, and his propensity to scratch, urinate and deficate on my deck, I have to pressure wash it before resealing it, and I also need to pressure wash the patio beneath it. This gives me an excuse to buy a pressure washer. I know nothing about these things so... What is the best model under $300 that will take care of buisness?

We decided to try a new type of tomato this year and grew San Marzano from seed. They did terrific for the first 6 weeks after transplanting, then one plant began to have yellow leaves. Within a week, it was completely dead. We thought we had an insect problem and dusted, but another plant began to yellow, then another until all of them were dying. We've checked and don't find any insect problems at all. The plants appear healthy up until the day before they begin to yellow. We've given them consistent water. We replaced the first plant that died with a store-bought grape tomato plant, and it's thriving. We live in South Central Kentucky (USA) and have always have great tomato production in the past. Any ideas?
