I have Carrier Series 38 heat pump system (two piece). The outside unit stopped working (fan is not rotating). Should I check the fuse? Where is the fuse located? Thanks!

check breaker box and then disconnect outside next to unit - usually the disconnect is not fused outside but sometimes they are. It could be a host of items - there is also probably some breakers inside next to the air-handler which one of them could be tripped. Then there is the contactor outside (inside the unit) or the thermostat transformer. many- many things
