I've read of questions on here about how to get rid of silverfish, and I've looked up methods on Google. But I'm worried that if I set up borax or silverfish packets that my cats (have 2) might get into them.

Do you have any suggestions for cat-safe traps?

Silverfish eat anything and everything in the house. Remove old boxes, papers, books and clothing from the closet floor, basement, and if you have an attic that you can get to. Try using moth ball crystals and put them in a box with a few holes in it. Tape the lid down so the cats can't get into it.
The third site has non-toxic traps that won't hurt your cats. And the first site has a product that will not harm your pets.
